What to check on the sample

Drop is measurable on a finished sample and should be measured rather than assumed. Cut a sample from the same run and check the midsole thickness at the heel centre and at the forefoot ball; the difference is the drop. Confirm the result against the approved specification before releasing bulk, because a midsole supplied slightly thicker at the heel turns a zero drop shoe into a low drop shoe without anything in the paperwork changing.
